Hi all,
I'm looking for input into what makes certain Herman Miller pieces more collectible than others... specifically aluminum group tables. What are the things that affect collectibility (aside from condition)?
Are wood tops more desirable than composite? Are dining/break tables more sought after than the smaller side/contract tables? Star bases vs. the more sculpted 4 point bases? Casters vs. fixed...?
Any input is appreciated; sarcasm not so much.
Thanks,
Josh

It's subjective, the answers depend on situation, environment, context. Think about pieces' intended original uses and costs, this gives strong clues to current desirability. Generally what is more collectible is the more executive-level stuff or the pieces that translate more readily to a residential environment.
