HI,I recently purchased a set of 6 WHite shell chairs from a regularl furnitue dispoals shop where I have previously found many great pieces.Condition is overall good - mounts must have some off at some stage and previous owner appears to have drilled holes through shell and bolted to base. These come in some many versions - would these have ahd a full cover or cushion ? any idea on age or identifying fiberglass v plastic. There is an ID lable on the shell. Thanks
Thanks - for the reply woody.
I now see the cirlce S for Summit. should have done some more research first.
Can anyone help on the lable or other stamps on the chair. Is the 012393 a patent number for the Glueless furniture joint
Whats the PR GO or the EC43200 ? Does the N or Z stamped by the Herman Miller logo desingate anything ?
Theres also a 1 or I in the middle of the back of the chair.
Thanks again.
Hi,
012393 states that the chair was made on January 23rd in 1993. This makes it the "newest" US-made fiberglass chair I have ever seen. That late production date also explaines the hardly visible fiberglass structure.
PR (i.e. "parchment") is the color of the shell. No idea about the rest of the abbreviations, though.
Hope this helps.
V.
