Hi fellow addicts,
as I've been thinking about this quite some time now, I thought I'd simply ask.
Does anyone happen to know the difference between the Eames colors "Light Blue" (LB) and "Robin's Egg Blue"? Is there any difference at all?
Maybe someone has got one of each in his or her collection and wants to share some pictures…

Cheers,
Danny

They could be the same color or very similar. Robin's Egg was used in the 1962 color chart that is often cited. I have seen another color chart from ~1970s which shows Light Blue.

Woodywood,
I have never seen a color chart from 1962 or any color chart including "Robin's Egg Blue".
All price lists and charts I was able to track down (1958-70) list "Light Blue" (LB) and nothing else.
Do you have any further info on this matter?

VitraMan- Sorry, I was mistaken. The 1962 chart also shows "Light Blue". Robin's Egg blue is probably just a descriptor used by sellers.

in my mind:
Robin's egg blue was (only?) produced for the "Hope College" in Holland, Michigan .. that's why this colour is so extremly rare and hard to get. Light Blue is something different ... like 50% of robin's egg blue. Light Blue is also very rare 😉 ..
