I have 70 Herman Miller Eames Shell Chairs (41 red, 1 green, 10 blue, and 18 yellow) I have no idea of their worth or history. I know they all have the Herman Miller logo, patent sticker, and the certificate sticker. They are fiberglass shell with vinyl seats. They have the 4 leg metal stacking frames. If anyone could please help me gain any information on these it would be very appreciated. I have pictures of them if that would help. Thank you in advance.

That's quite a collection!
I've never had a drink with anyone who owned that many shells. I like shoes.

Lol
I bought an old library a few years back and they were all inside. I appreciate shoes as well.

Yes
I recently sold it to a nonprofit organization. It is the Haydon Burns Library in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. Do you have any idea how to post pictures to threads?

Based on your patent dating...
Based on your patent dating ( they did them every 2-3 years)
Publication date Dec 17, 1963
Filing date Oct 2, 1961
So early 60s. Wide mount stacking bases. Good range of color. Prices will depend on condition. Best bet is post them as a group on ebay with pictures of any condition issues.
But it is a decent amount with that many. My fiancé and I were trying to find 60-70 of these for our wedding reception next year, haha.

A lovely piece of architecture, indeed.
A sweet combo (lovechild) of Edward Durrell Stone and a very good chiropractor. I dig it.
