an interesting tidbit
I found this from the Eames Primer this morning on the train to work: "They connected when Knox, an amateur cabinet maker, needed some help with the details of fabrication" (Its not clear if Knox worked with Charles at MGM or was otherwise acquainted) however the text continues, "Later the fiberglas rocker was designed for Doris Knox, who was pregnant at the time, but the child in utero was walking by the time the design was actually completed"

LuciferSum Thanks I had never heard that one. I know of all the Eames designs the rocker has a very emotional appeal. I will check the Primer for more.
