I have 4 chairs that all have the same pair of legs. I have never seen these legs on any of the sights I have searched. Some of the chairs have the HM signature as well as the symbols. I was wondering what you could tell me about these legs. They are four white enameled post close together mounted on the underside of the chair with shock mounts, and then spread out at the bottom for the 4 legs to balance the chair. I would post a picture, but wasn't able to get it to work. Thanks
sounds like Nelson swag legs
it sounds like you have George Nelson swag legs. I had a set of 6 chairs one time and the previous owner had drilled through the top of the legs and added bolts to the legs so they didn't spread.

Herman Miller Chair legs
They are similar, and I did see these on my search, except mine are straight for a longer stretch to the bottom and then spread out. The tips on the ends of the chair are not caped, and are white, or translucent not like the black ends on the chair you showed me. The mounting is a bit different as well. It's not all a solid piece, it's still the singular bars that then turn and are mounted. Thanks, and if you have any other images I would very much appreciate it.
Herman Miller Chair legs
Yes, that is it. I looked that up, the legs are the same as ones on a table that I am looking at. I am unable to see the underside, but from the image I see, it most likely is it. Mine are enameled, and the table is chrome. They are a nice clean style. Have had these for over 40yrs. I was about to put them to the curb, when I started to really look at them and realized that they might be worth something I cleaned them up and did a little searching. Sure glad I did. Thanks so much for your help!!!
La Fonda legs and stamp question
Here are three images of the chairs I have. Can anyone tell me what year these might have been made, and what do the numbers on the bottom mean.
There is also a stamp under the center of the legs that has three dots stamped inside the stamped box. Is this another form of the three raised dots that I have heard about, and is an indication as to when it was made?
Thanks in advance for your help.
