They've been trying to sell that damn thing forever. Apparently, no one else gets it either. I, for one, think it's hideous.

That's a Ray Wilkes design. Pretty uncommon, though I suspect that is because they were not a big seller when they were new.
I find it appealing even if it's a bit clumsy looking. I'm a little indifferent to the seat, but I find the base strangely compelling.
