Hey everyone, This has me stumped, Westnofa looking with the bent roseply details...but definitely european because the hardware is all metric.Cool flowerpetal chrome base...canvas back holds the leather cushion...plywood arms.Anyone seen one before?Very cool chair

Can anyone verify this is an early Ekornes Chair? I can't find pictures or information on the web showing early versions of the chair.
The Base is very reminescient of a Bruno Mathsson Easy chair - he did one for Dux that looks very familiar.

And the back still screams Westnofa - not 100% sold on the early Ekornes ID - anyone else?
Not Ekornes Stressless. Base is wrong as are the arms and back. There is an example of an original 1971 Stressless on the Ekornes website and a google search will give further examples. All the chromes bases on the early versions are the same, regardless of whether the chairs were fixed leather backs or canvas slings with leather cushions. They also have the little black knob thingy (technical term) which tensions the recline.
