Hello,

I bought the object on the photo a couple of weeks ago in LA.
All the seller could tell me is that it's from an American designer and it's probably about 50 years old (?).
It must be typical American since I have never seen something like this in Europe before.
I would love to know what it is (if it has something to do with space), who made it and when.
The store where I bought it had another different one.
Later I saw a much bigger one on the Rosebowl fleamarket with red, white and blue balls. So there are more similar objects around !
It looks a little bit like the George Nelson clock.
Hopefully there's someone among you who recognizes this, thanks for your time it's very much appreciated !

Greetings from Amsterdam,

Myrte

let me see...
wood block base with bent coat hanger wire supporting wood balls...ok I got it! It is a hand towl holder for the bathroom. I would guess it was made in the last 5 months, not 50 years!
How many more do you need, I could whip some up in about 30 minutes.
Ouch...I beleive you got stung!

Not everything is something....
Not everything is something. Perhaps it was made in a mid century Vacation Bible School class?

hey
I've seen that artists work twice before. Once at Fat Chance in LA and also at Modern Times in Chicago. It is indeed ~50 years old, and many collectors like it.
