I recently acquired these nice solid walnut chairs. Looking at them the frame seems to be identical to low height version of the Milo Baughman Archie chair, with the main difference being the back rest. The rest of the frame seems exactly the same. The webbing is a single sheet of black elastic/rubber type material that is stapled down. They do not have any maker's mark but do have a Genuine American Walnut label so I assume they are made in USA.
I would really appreciate if anyone can confirm if they are Thayer Coggin? Also as I am having new cushions made does anyone out there have photos of how the original cushions were made? did they have buttons like the Archie chairs? what year were they made?
thanks in advance!
Thanks - you know I went all around their website and cannot for the life of me find a contact email address. any ideas how to find it?
I found a similar chair on 1stdibs - a high back version with same lower frame. That is what made me think of this.
