I know this is not a forum for electronics, but I was hoping that one of the designaddicts in the US might be able to point me in the right direction.

I have built a lightbox in which I'm using 4 CCFL tube lamps which run on 12V. I'm based in Sweden and I have used a transformer which transforms the power from the Swedish standard, 220V, to 12V.

Next week I need to use the box in Miami (at the art fair) and I'm looking for a place that sells a similar transformer/adapter, but which will instead transform the power from US standards, 140V, to the wanted 12V. I have goggled for hardware stores in the Miami Beach area, with not much result.

I will not be able to go to Miami myself this time, so I will need to find a place before, where I can then send someone from my gallery's staff to get the equipment needed.

Does anyone know of a place to get this kind of stuff?

Any help would be very appreciated!

But wait! 12V?!?
Wouldn't these then by DC not AC voltage?

Thanks Robert!
The second...
Thanks Robert!
The second one is basically what I'm looking for. I only need a slightly more powerful one, which has an output of 2000 mA. By using the info about the second adapter and changing the mA, I managed to find some more adapters on google.
This is one I found:
http://www.12vadapters.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=261&c...
I have emailed to check if they can deliver quickly, since I need it by the beginning of next week.
If any one knows of a place in Miami, that sells this kind of stuff, please let me know. It would be good to have a backup, in case my adapter is late...

Olive... Yes the input is AC...
Olive... Yes the input is AC and the output is DC. -I'm not an expert on electronics myself, so I can just hope that I'm right about what I need...

Alexanderforum:
1) You can also buy an adapter 110-220. in Sweden now. (and then plug one adapter then the one you already have). If you can get it you?ll solve the problem now.
1-b) Where in Sweden are you? Where did you buy it yours? May be they have one as the link with both input 110-220
2) If not, I think it will be very easy to find it in Miami. Flagger St. where they have tons of electronics.
But the fair organizers should guide them or even provide it!!
3) If nothing works, they can also change the bulbs---) change 4 CCFL tube 12V-220V for 110V bulbs.
P.S.: Good luck with the fair!

Thanks Gustavo.
The shops...
Thanks Gustavo.
The shops here only sells travellers-kits with a plug-converter. I wasn't sure that was going to work and wanted to get a 12V adapter in the US instead. Maybe that was a little stupid, but that's where we are now. My piece is already in Miami...
I haven't heard from my gallerist since he arrived in Miami, so hopefully he's got it sorted by now. Otherwise I will tell him to go to the street you mention. The fair organizers are usually not very helpful in my experience... You get what you have already paid for, but anything extra is hard to get...
