Picture this:
Very modern apartment, high ceilings, and tons of light. Small (but airy), oddly shaped dining room (mostly a triangle but you could make the case that it's a pentagon). Very white walls, light oak floors.
Thinking about a table and chairs.
Options include:
Rosewood table (rectangular with rounded edges) with Moller chairs (#78)
Cherner table with black Wegner wishbone chairs
The rosewood table with the wishbone chairs.
Some other type of table (what?) with either type of chair.
That's a pretty small design box...
Each of your choices includes a wooden table with four legs, and wooden chairs with woven-cord seats. Maybe my taste is unrefined -- I mostly like black or brightly-colored monolithic furniture, stone tabletops, and lots of steel and aluminum -- but I don't see much difference between the options you've presented. To me, they seem interchangeable and (this is just my opinion, of course) a little ordinary.
Naturally, I'm aware that not everyone wants dramatic furniture in every room... But would you consider something just a LITTLE more daring? I mean, for the money that you seem prepared to spend ($2500 retail for the table and $700-1000 retail for each chair), there are TONS of options.
If you've already made a firm decision to get a wood table and wooden Danish chairs, you can't really go wrong with the designers you've chosen. If you're open to something completely different, though, maybe you could describe what it is that you like about the Wegner/Moller/Cherner stuff -- or what you like in furniture generally -- and see where the discussion goes.
update and thanks
Thanks for the replies so far.
Fastfwd: To answer your question, I love the idea of wood and white. Very modern, fresh, light, yet not austere.
Rockland: Thanks for the link. Beautiful. I have also been considering the Eames plastic molded chairs in white (with wooden legs), possibly even to mix and match with other chairs (would that work?), so this is spot on.
I am working on some photos of the space. In the meantime, I have attached some links to photos that I find inspirational. LOVE the walnut table with ash wishbone chairs (though we don't have room to accommodate quite that table) in the Apartment Therapy link.

Thanks again!
I would suggest the Wegner...
I would suggest the Wegner Wishbone for chairs. As for tables you should look into /////. They build tables from reclaimed woods - you can custom design as well. Definitely a unique combination: reclaimed wood and modern chair.

Where are you located? Home Anthology outside in the Baltimore area has a set of six Møller chairs in rosewood---not the 78 but very close to it. I love the look of the Wishbone chair but I think the Møllers are more comfortable.
The HA price is well below what someone upthread quoted, too.
