Round Peg, Square Hole
So sorry for offering solicited advice in a public forum. What WAS I thinking? Offering the a round table was a mistake, one only needs to look at that room to see you are clearly a square.
And if you're going to be tiffy make sure your ducks are in a row - your original post asks:
"Help me find our next dining room table."
followed by
"so we're looking for a solid source on a table that is in stock and deliverable."
followed by
"Any ideas fellow design centrics?"
I don't see how any of the responses vary from those questions.

Nothing would be more sophisticated
than a Noguchi Cyclone table!

Modern Design Manufacturers?
Why not just enjoy the conversation?
Why even ask an opinion?
Veneered MDF out of a box.. defending it is incomprehensible.
Very thoughtful and talented help here.
The responses were true to your request.
What you really want is someone to shop for you and find the exact table
that you loved and you want it now. Just say it and maybe someone knows
where one exists. Pronto ; )
Posting a photo in a public forum is fair game for opinion isn't it?
You were asking for options?
(i like the Saarinen table)
I pinch myself every time i come home. I adore it. I can't believe i live here.
Not a home for everyone. Nor would i expect anyone to like it if i posted photos.

Lazy design followed by lazy...
Lazy design followed by lazy thinking, reminds me of a journalist asking posters for ideas for design articles.
Was there any consideration given to getting this table repaired? Or is that too hard?

My choice (since I'm somewhat tired of wenge..) would be a Richard Schultz Leasure collection 1966 dining table with the camel colored frame/brown porcelin top. Sorry, couldn't find a link. Quite a lovely room pictured above. I do thank you Heath for the reminder that we shouldn't overlook the local wood/metal/glass/whatever craftspeople. I certainly will go that route next time I redo my kitchens/baths.

Next time you redo? Do it...
Next time you redo? Do it properly once and forget about it.

Dining Chairs
I'm looking for chairs and really like yours pictured with "broken" table. You mentioned hand made in Italy? Are they available online, or a contact?

Just got in from Wal-Mart(cringe)...
Saw quite a few pieces that resembled yours, 6700. Worth a shot at least. Certainly well within your budget.
Cheerio.
Oh, and you're welcome.
