Hi

I came upon a chair at a large outdoor market yesterday and I need some help identifying it.

It has the characteristics of Bruno Mathsson or Alf Svensson or a Scandinavian style in general. But I haven't been able to find anything on it although it seems truly familiar.

I want to know what kind of seat it has had so I can restore it. Maybe a sheep rug could fit.

Can someone shed light on the matter?

looks like it could be...
looks like it could be something by Yngve Eckstrom. It may not be, but sure looks as though he had an influence.

I agree
I too believed it to be a chair by Ekstrom but I've found nothing that looks like this one.
What really throws me off are the springs that support the body all the way and the curved wood splints below the 'knees' and on the back of the back rest, used for moving the chair.
Thanks for any suggestions

Yeah
It looks like a later design inspired by the aforementioned.

Perhaps?
I have seen this design a few times. I do not think it comes from a name designer, but rather was made by an in house team for the manufacturer.
For me that does not diminish its functionality but should reflect in a modest price.

The price is no issue
The main things for me is to know who the designer was, and the sellers were also curious. Seeing some other images of the chair would truly help with the restoration.
Just let us know if the name comes to you!
