I recently came across this pair of Eames arm chairs. With the early Zenith large shock mounts on the bottom, low louge X base. wondered about some informaiton on this style. It should date to '51 or '52? Also the chair itself is very heavy, and painted and does not appear to be fiberglass underneath.  Does anyone have information on this?

why would you flip over a chair and put it straight onto the concrete like that?  I see listings all the time of people dong this with chairs etc and always wonder why.  I know you are going to say that nothing happened to them but you always run the risk of it rubbing on the concrete as you go to flip it back over no matter how careful you are.
