Is that so?
Then, I suppose it might be the "Back Off Boogaloo" couch.

Yes
Definately British
The label says London is a distinctly 70s typeface
The numbers above are probably 2000 -the epitome of futuristic (then)
The upholstery looks like Collins & Hayes of the time perhaps..

Probber???
I'm just guessing, but my initial instict was to say Harvey Probber. See this example: http://www.retrodaze.com/Galleries/furniture/

It's Not Probber
it's British- made in london
The label says so..........

generic !
just enjoy the sofa...... its a generic brand without provenance. even if you were to discover who designed it, it wouldn't be anyone recognizable.
not everything has pedigree, just relax and enjoy it.
or perhaps if i told you Archibald Wilcox designed it.... would you feel better about it ?

Exactly right!
It's a British mid to high end late 60s / early 70s sofa from a decent store......
I sat on any number of almost exactly the same sofas when visiting the houses of the rich kids from school
they had shag pile carpet too

jajaja ..
thanks for the replies , i know that and i appreciate the feedback , but if you read carefully , the reason for this thread is to find who made it to see if they still have fabric from this pattern so i can mend / restore some damaged parts . or later re- cover it if i need to ..
so , lets leave the couch builder aside , Anyone knows where i can get fabric like this one ? i really like it an i dont see myself sitting on it if it was reupholstered differently
thanks

Even if
Even if the manufacturer still exists, I think they'd be unlikely to have the fabric.
Did you want an exact match, or just something contemporary in the same flavour ?

Maybe the label says
"Landon", not London. There's a furniture manufacturer in Sophia, North Carolina named Landon. They made this coffee table, which kind of looks like your couch.
Their phone number is 336-498-4052

Hm
not sure I buy that..
Why would the company name be at the bottom of the label, surely the location would be ?
Also, it's a lot of sofa to travel halfway around the world when Europe had no shortage of of similar sofas at the time.
