I found a pair of these lamps. They are all metal, quite heavy and appear to be well constructed. Fit, finish and materials are all quite good. The color is a dark grey with cool orange details.
Has anyone seen these before?

Here's a few more questions, maybe someone can chime in with a few hints.
I haven't confirmed, but it looks like it takes a G8 bulb. When did this type of halogen bulb become common in lamps?
The conical base, the orange cap, loop and fan shaped counterweight feel vaguely "memphis" to me, does that seem right?
Any suggestions of resources or search terms that might help me figure this out?
