I recently purchased this and love it, but i'm curious about who designed it. The seller told me it belonged to her mother who purchased it in the 60s. Thank you kindly in advance!

Don't know maker
but I've seen it before (Danish, right?).
I assume that it could just as easily be configured into an L-shaped desk too, very versatile.

Eureka.
Exactly one year later, while catching up on my reading (-April 17, 1978 issue of New York Magazine), I happened upon this ad for something very similar to Crocodile Tears' convertible desk/ record shelf.
Not identical, but very similar.
"Bienaime. Entertainment center/ desk. 54" X 19" X 28" Extends to 106". Unit with two drawers can be on right or left side. Teak, Walnut, Oak. $259"
