Aside from importing Scandinavian furniture, Selig also manufactured a bunch of anonymous, derivative furniture in the U.S. Selig of Monroe and Selig of Leominster are the only two I've heard of, but apparently they had five factories. A quick search shows that mattress manufacturer Simmons bought Selig in the 1970's, which is when your chair would have been produced. I don't think you'll find any information that will aid in having it reupholstered.
