I have 2 PK-22 chairs in wicker that have split. I have found a place that will re-wicker, however I'm interested in converting them to the leather versions. Are the frames the same? Will this work? Any suggestions where to have this work done? Thanks.

I do not know
where to get the leather cover other than at Fritz Hansen, but yes, it is the same frame. The only difference is that the Allan screws of the model you have go from the top (with visible screw heads) to the lower frame, whereas in the leather version it is probably the other way around because the heads are not visible. In any case you have no thread in the top frame. You will need some so the best thing is probably to get the next size Allen screw (European standard measurements are available with increments of 1mm.
Good luck!

PK22 restoration
I'm in the process of restoring a leather PK22 [E.K. Christiensen fabricator]. Can you tell if your frame is chrome or stainless steel. That will guide conversion process for you. Contact me if you want any info about the leather upholstery.
