Help Identifying Teak Mid Century Daybed/Bench

Hi, Can't find anything like this around. It has no markings. The top slides out to make the piece double in size. Assume it would have been used as a guest bed or daybed. Any help is appreciated!

I think that is teak sapwood...
I think that is teak sapwood I am seeing, which is so much lighter than heartwood. I've never seen it sneak into scandinavian or vintge pieces. Makes me question it's origin....

Friends of mine have three
of these but theirs are oak. They don't know the maker either but said they are from Scan, a retailer of Scandinavian furniture that had a bunch of stores in the mid-Atlantic area until 10-12 years ago. They sold a lot of Danish furniture and also some Norwegian and in their later years, Thai teak.
