This is a vintage Danish Modern lounge chair that a friend gave me. He inherited it from his grandmother, who bought it during the 50's or 60's. It has a Illums Bolighus Copenhagen metal tag on the bottom, indicating that they were the retailer. Does anyone recognize with certainty who the designer was? TIA.

Thank you. Yes, I can post a small profile image later today, but the image you posted is definately identical to the chair I have. Just to clarify though, was the b&w chair image you posted one that was identified as being by Ib Kofod Larsen, or one that was done in his style by an unknown designer? Thank you very much.
Ib Kofod Larsen
This must be the same chair with a somewhat lower back. I found the image at the website linked below. They identify the chair as "the Sälen" (the Seal), by Ib Kofod Larsen for OPE Furniture, 1956-57.
I have also added another image link to a chair (also identified as a Sälen) with a high back, but in leather.

Can you identify my chairs?
I found this thread while trying to identify my chairs, and they look pretty similar. Can anyone help? I'm fairly sure the wood is teak and I'm now pretty much convinced they're Danish modern. Based on the taxes, I know they date back to somewhere between 1948 and the 1970s (I found them in Israel, and the tax stamps list a different kind of money than we use today).
The footstool is unrelated; it probably dates from the same period but didn't come with the chairs.
Thanks!!
