I got this convertible teak table at a local thriftstore, but can find no information on the maker. It is stamped "VM Made In Denmark" on the bottom, along with a stamp of the word "Patentanm" in large letters. I have not been able to find anything on the web, although someone else had asked the forum about a Danish headboard stamped "VM" but got no response. The workmanship seems to be quite good, and the hardware (hinges, screws) look fairly old. TIA.
Vm Danish table
Hi I've just found your posting. I've got what sounds exactly like the table you have described. I remember my parents buying it back in the 60's. It is a low coffee table which lifts up to normal table height and also has 2 side extensions.
I'd be very interested to know if you've managed to find anything else out about it. Mine needs some work doing to it, as it wobbles and the top needs stripping due to water damage, but I'm pretty sure that's all superficial.
regards Liz
