I bought this dining room table in the U.S. from an Australian lady who moved it from Australia. She appeared to be in her 50's and received this as a hand-me-down from her grandfather years before.
My assumption is it was built in Australia or England in the first half of the 1950's.
Any help identifying the manufacturer and model is most appreciated.

Unfortunately
(for the poster), Design Addicts are mostly interested in modernism. Period or antique-inspired furnishings are not really on our radar. However, someone may have information for the poster on this generic dining table.
Thousands if not hundreds of thousands of manufacturers have made furniture of this type, around the world, for the past 75 years or more, so identifying the particular maker would be a fluke of fate -- it seems to me.
The shape of the top, the thickness of the edge, and the wooden table clips underneath are defining characteristics of this particular example.
