Dear All,

In the Eames House living room is a nice side table. This side table is green-colored, has a heart-shaped top, three legs and seems made of a metal species. I have added some images to this post. The table is likely one of their collectibles.

Can you help me identify the origin, dimensions (height x diameter in inches) and material of this adorable side table? More images of this table are welcome as well.

Thanks!

It doesn't really look like a mass-produced thing, but the legs might be stock parts?
I would like to pick it up and feel how heavy it is.
What a goopy heart.
It's a nice reminder that "childlike" things are important at all ages and unabashed cutesy-ness isn't necessarily obnoxious.
Also, "bad" taste is sort of the same thing as "good" taste.
I would like to spend some time looking at the books on those shelves.

The heart side table looks like a Lucia Eames design.

The table is cute. I wonder if it was the inspiration for the heart cut-out in their child's chair.
Still, we blame Ray.

hi all!
Thanks for your comments so far. I am also curious for the dimensions of this little side table. Is there somebody out there who dares to make a guess about the height and diameter (in inches)?
@smogguy: you say it might be a lucia eames design. interesting. Where on the web can I find more info about her designs?
Thanks!

I have a brochure of Lucia's sculpture stashed somewhere in my Eames library with this heart end table pictured. Here is a link that I found searching under "Lucia Eames Sculpture." You can see the heart shape is a reoccurring theme in some of her work. I don't think that Lucia had anything to do with the heart cutout on the Evans child's chair backrest. To me that detail speaks of Ray's whimsical spirit and the warmth she contributed to the projects/designs she worked and collaborated on.
