Hi folks --

I found this lamp yesterday at an estate sale, and I've been fruitlessly Googling arc lamps to try to ID the designer or manufacturer. Anyone encountered one of these before? (Forgive the duplication with my post in show us your lamps...)

Does the original post violate the user guide somehow? I'm missing it.

killian -- an image search...
killian -- an image search on 'booglamp' is just turning up arc lamps, albeit mostly from German websites. Is there a specific image or designer you were referring to? I know it's in the 60's arc lamp family, but I'm really trying to track down the designer & manufacturer of this one.

Bellwthr,
I was just...
Bellwthr,
I was just trying to give you a search word that might help kick start you in the right direction again. Your lamp looks very similar to some European lamps I have seen before and I find that simply googling Euro stuff in English ie "arc lamp " does not get you all the results available on the internet.
As everyone here knows sometimes it takes forever to find any reference or attribution to a designer but knowing the right words to use certainly helps. I also find it helps to change from your default google (mine would be google.ie) to google.fr for French stuff, google.nl for Dutch stuff etc etc.

ahh, that makes sense. I didn't realize that 'booglamp' was the more appropriate term. Much appreciated -- I'll continue my hunt. 🙂

That's because I intimidated him
with my manly demand for an explanation.
