Thanks I will check that out - I also found that they may be Skandenburg - examples are very close - with exception the skandenburg chairs have a side bar on the side - and these do not ( maybe 1st Design or a redesign? )The chairs I have show that there was never a side bar on these??? They are certainly not...
They are certainly not rosewood. Could be teak, or even walnut.

Do you refer to these side bars like the one in the picture here? If yes you helped me finally ID my desk chair,...:) there s not much to google about skandenburg, do you know a bit more about them?

The chairs are in burma teak which is a darker cousin of the teak we all see.
Many times used as a substitue for the then more expensive rosewood.
Korup stolefabrik did their own designs and IU have never known or found evidence of any specific architect working for them.
Lots of factories in Denmark had their own design which normally came from the head of the owner in responce to seing things at fairs and shows but mostly from wanting the be slightly different from the competition.
Hans, who owned Jerlev møbelfabrik, was exactly that kind of owner. HE produced sofas and chairs and i spent many a times in the factory seeing who wood from one end ended up as a sofa at the other end through the processes inbetween.

We have 4 bar stools from Henry Rosengren Hansen for Brandt Mobelfabrik - the style is extremely close to the style of the chairs you have.
