We're thinking of buying this dining set which is in need of some love but I wasn't able to find any ID marks on the table or chairs. I didn't go through each chair because they were amidst so many things and the seller was in a rush to meet an appointment. Any idea on the maker of this set? Anyone seen anything like it? The chairs have wooden dowels or rods down the back which make them stand out a bit and the legs have a slight curve to them rather than a straight taper. The style of the chairs and desk look danish to me. Sorry about the quality of the photos, they are from our phone.
Thoughts?
The table does have some...
The table does have some similar traits as a brasilia table but I don't think the legs taper enough for it to be a part of that series. The chairs share similarities with this set by Robsjohn Gibbings, but there doesn't seem to be the same curved top.

You're right. I swear I have...
You're right. I swear I have seen the chairs before but I can't quite put my finger on them. The chairs need reupholstered and the table could really use refinishing. I'm trying to decide if it's worth going for or not and if I had a better idea of what the set might be worth it may motivate me to make the jump.

It's not quite as simple as that pirate. If I didn't like it I wouldn't be considering buying it.
Is our dream set? No, but that doesn't mean it can't be purchased and appreciated. I don't see anything wrong with trying to find out about its possible value though. I'm just trying to make an educated decision in regards to the purchase because I don't want to invest way more money in purchasing and restoring something than what is is worth. On the flip side of that, if it was of a greater value I'd be happy to save it from a barn in the country, put some money into restoring it, use it for a while until I found the perfect set.
