Hi, I am new to this forum and am at whits end so maybe someone here can help.
I have a large number of 1960's mid century danish teak furniture pieces, dresser, wall units, desk and credenzas. I am trying to sell them but have no idea of worth. I live in Los Angeles area but haven't found anyone here to help. Please let me know if you have any knowledge in this area of know someone who does.
Thank you.
Every market is different. ...
Every market is different. I would suggest spending some time searching the local Craigslist to get an idea of prices. Then eBay sold listings as well. And of course there are local dealers. Companies that run estate sales often either have good knowledge or have contacts they bring in to do estimates.
"Help, I have 1960's teak danish furniture."
^^^^^ I got quite a chuckle out of that title. Like it's a bad thing. 🙂
research
There is a wide range of value between a Wegner piece and a generic piece.
So you can also research the pieces, identify maker and designer, and that _might_ help you get a better sense of what you have. You can try ebay and liveauctioneers for sold values, once you know better what you have
Finally, if you post photos of the pieces here and ask for id, you might get answers, and that might help you get started.
