Looks like a generic American version of a mid century modern lounge chair design to me. Very good pickup for $2 though.

bedbugs are just an added bonus!

no bedbugs....i checked 8^) this thing is very comfy....and made very nice....and it has the old style straps across the bottom...I wish it had the tags still! It does have somthing handwritten in the bottom side...it is like a cursive signature...but i cant make it out....probobly nothing...I do also own a Milo Baughman vintage DWR style scoop recliner and it does have very similar mounting holes on the base....has if this chair was set up to be a recliner or a regular chair....IDK

I've restored a few of these types. What's the webbing like? Fargas Straps, Nylon webbing or stretch springs? All will tell you who the manufacture might be.

Pirelli webbing
Suspension looks like Pirelli webbing which came in a variety of colours fastened by a small metal clip at each end or sometimes stapled which isn't as pretty, it gets cracked and brittle and curls up after all those years. The frame doesn't quite look Danish to me in that the timber isn't as rounded as you would expect and may be made from a blond wood with a stain over the top,, hard to see in the pics tho. great score for a couple of bucks and totally worth spending a weekend on. all the best. D
