I haven't. I saw it at the preview of a Baltimore area auction. I'm not interested in bidding on it at all, just really curious about what it is. It was cordoned off next to a full-size ceramic cello (?!?) so I couldn't look for marks.

Yes, that is a big honking piece of veneer missing from it.

Thats great, its a bit like this Australian design but I prefer the one you posted. Did you see the underneath, how thick would you guess the sheet is?

wayward, that's their photo on their site but yeah, it did seem a little wide for the legs. I really couldn't get a good look at it when I was there as there were other things in the way.
This is kind of a low end auction, not cataloged, so no pre-sale estimate. There were only a few other MCM pieces there and they were no-name American things, I think. Everything else was just a mishmash of antiques to newer junk. The sale is the 26th of March.
