For the past year I've seen those typical vintage fiberglass Herman Miller sky-rocket in price!!!! I know Modernica now has the rights to make the fiberglass chairs in the past few years. NOW Herman Miller is producing the fiberglass ones again....? When did this happen? I could simply google it but I like you people on this site:)

I was waiting for a review...
I was waiting for a review of the chair somewhere; MoMA is still selling the plastic one.
I like MoMA other than that chair.

Venice label Seafoam
Don't be fooled by an ebay seller or two with ridiculously high prices for Eames shells.
In fact Just today, a rather rare Venice red label Seafoam Green rocker in great condition went off on ebay for about a thousand bucks.
Not cheap, but not outrageous for a rare and desirable vintage rocker.
Much better than a cracked shell with no legs for $1200 !
There was a strange twist which may have kept the price down though;
the seller claimed that his grandfather was the original purchaser in 1958 (!) and gave the chair to him when he was a young boy. The the shell had what looked like 1958 runners, but the Venice red label was clearly from a much earlier time, probably 1952 or 1953. (Now THAT is old stock being paired up with newer stock!) Seemed pretty legit though, as the chair was from an original pair.
