What do you think of this design?

Initially, I thought it was odd, but I'm warming up to it...at least a kidney shaped table would not be a knee buster!

Harvey probber is the hottest stuff going ,
He is one of the studio designers of the 60s and his furniture is going through the roof at auctions, and at Todd Merrill gallery in NYC. I love the table., you should buy it for your lovely collection and home.

Is that Probber, almost looks too tame to be his design? I'm not terribly fond of it. I rescued one of his terrazo surfboard coffee tables from the Salvation Army a few years ago, and it has remained one of my favorite modern pieces, although seeing Riki's post the other day about the Noguchi disaster reminded me that this particular table used to worry me a bit. But the younguns are grown up now, and more than capable of surviving your above average head injury.

Broyhill made a table with a similar base as part of the Brasilia series and Lane made a table with that top.

I believe it's marked Probber
so I think it's real.
I wasn't asking so much if it is real, as what do you think about it.

Too busy
Too busy for the rest of your stuff. Too much visual clutter going on if you add that table to the mix.

Rearranged living room

As you can see, I rearranged....

I think
You should get something simpler.

Agreed
Saarinen oval is what I see in that space. I think just anything else would be cluttery and distract from the other pieces. (I could also see a Knoll rectangular table - but I know you want oval)
