Advice required - how much is a mid-century Hans Wegner oak Getama daybed worth.
It's in really good condition with the original Getama covering that comes out of the lift up rear section to go over the sofa seat.
They seem quite common, but mine has oak arms that I guess are for cushions to lean against.
I haven't seen similar and was wondering how much it might be worth. Any suggestions?

yeah it is like that but the sides are square to make arms haha. seems a lot of money on that ad doesn't it? or maybe that's what they're worth.

over priced
springs to mind but hey these are very common and still produced today by getama.
as they were made for dorm rooms it occasionally happens that a university or school clears out and 40-50 of them so the price drops to £150 - 200 each.
The rare one to look out for is the teak version with the woven cane back and original sprung seat cushion.
Another one is the double which there are only a few of as dorm rooms were not rooms meant for "fun in bed"

aah thanks simon, that's interesting, the double must be huge, i'd like to see that, although probably not own it. is that dorms in Denmark you're talking about, or anywhere.
that's the one pictured, its nice isn't it. how much do you reckon its really worth?
thanks again L
