I just picked these up at an estate sale and have no idea who designed or manufactured them. One chair has a made in denmark stamp. They have a Hans Wegner look but seem to be too fussy for him.
Anyone have any idea?
Thanks!

...i also picked up this credenza and table at the same table. Can anyone ID? Nothing special?? The table has a makers mark which is a round stamp of a castle.
Thanks!

Børge Mogensen for the chairs
Dunno the model number but you'll find plenty of examples online if you do a search of the designer's name.
I rewove a set of those years ago. They're very handsome chairs---not what I'd call fussy at all!

I found a few images of them but no reference to a model name or number. They seem to be quite rare. If anyone comes across one please let me know!
Thanks

.
Manufactured by Søborg, 1953, unknown model number.
So you think Mogensen doesn't have the level of Wegner?
Well, a pretty distinguished point of view to say it diplomatically.

Leif,
when you die, I hope all of your materials go to the Library of Congress. I could spend months just looking at all the documents that you have collected. Such beautiful history you own.

The rest of the people...
The rest of the people around here have so many more documents than I. My collection pales in comparison to say jesgord's or H.moon's, and glassartist has an FDB catalog which makes me drool.
I wil carry on posting some new catalogs here. I was waiting for the new forum to offer us a better way of posting and annotating catalogs, hopefully.

A good home
I just purchased these chairs from Josh at Retrograde LA, and they are going to find their way "back" to a home that suits them. They are identical to chairs that my parents purchased on December 30, 1960 from Contract Interiors in Boston, as one of the final items in an inventory of iconic period furniture from Knoll, Bertoia, Eames, Saarinen, Risom, Tanier, Dux. All the rest of these items are being restored, but the dining chairs had been broken up and, alas, discarded.
Borge Mogensen is a very fine designer and manufacturer.
