I am trying to replace a Hans Wegner CH30 chair with a teak seat. Apparently these are very uncommon. One of my set of six was burned beyond repair in a fire in December. It is possible that my insurance company would purchase an upholstered version, but I would much prefer to replace the one lost with an original, vintage one.

If you know of any dealers or auction houses that might be of assistance, I would very much appreciate the assistance. I'm in the NYC area, but will consider purchasing both nationally and internationally.

I'm here
Sadly I am not able to offer you a replacement seat for this chair but you could try and make up a mock one of plywood untill you can source a replacement chair.
They do exist out there but are relatively rare.

Thank you and more questions
Thank you for the input so far on replacing my CH30. I am finding that the version with the polished teak seat is very rare, indeed. Currently, I'm spending a good deal of time monitoring the Lauritz.com site for listings. Can anyone recommend other auction houses that might have these chairs? In a perfect world, I could find an original, CH30 with teak seat. In the less than perfect world being what it is, I'm looking at all alternatives.
Thanks again!
