Hi all,
i recently picked up a pair of Wegner CH-34s, and they came with a pair of teak and leather side chairs. All four chairs are marked with identical metal Illum Bolighus tags to the undersides of their seats. The leather upholstery appears to be nearly identical with fairly uniform wear across the set. The owner indicated that the four have always been together, which I find no reason to question.
However, the side chairs do not look like any Wegner chair that I have ever seen – they are more reminiscence of some Moller, Hans Olsen, and Frem Rojle designs.
Has anyone seen these before? (I apologize for the poor pictures – I will post more when I have a chance to find some decent lighting...)

Much thanks, Cdsilva. I would not have found that on my own.
This is the first CH-34 I have seen in person. Their scale is a little funny, but in typical Wegner fashion they are more comfortable than not. The seatback assembly is interesting – I will share some pics at some point.
Thanks again!
Hi all,
Just thought I would share a brief update on these chairs. They are now clean with new foam and leather. My wife insisted on the pumpkin – heresy?
A few interesting things I noted about the CH-34s: Lief has mentioned the cross-grain insert that Carl Hansen used when mating metal threaded inserts. The solid beech backrests had such inserts on each end. The backrest caps appeared to be diecast aluminum, and each used a spring-steel insert to retain its leather wrap.
Most interesting, however, is that all of the upholstery staples on the CH-34s were covered with a thin strip of leather. This was a lovely little detail. The Rosengren Hansen chairs, in contrast, used black cloth tape to cover the upholstery staples.
Beautiful work, hound. Nice in-progress detail pics, too. Thank you.
Not that it matters, but I'm pretty sure that if you had dug out one of those elongated plugs near the ends of the backrests, you'd have found an off-the-shelf square steel nut (try to find those anymore) in the slot and not a threaded insert. An incidental and minor point, to be sure.
