Hi,
This chair was used in a sidewalk café during the Brussel 1958'international fair. Stamped "TUBAX", a belgian manufactory which produced furnitures for Willy Van der Meeren during the same period.
The Hans Bellman's chair looks exactly the same ( for the wood sit without the vinyl) but the legs are different...
Any idea about the designer?

Willy Van Der Meeran
I think your chair is by Willy Van Der Meeran as the legs and cross members appear to be the same as the Willy Van Der Meeran Chair 'C1' 1951. This chair is in the collection of the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design Ghent. There is a picture in the book 'Forms from Flanders' published by Ludion, Ghent-Amsterdam. ISBN 90-5544-355-7
