You see these plywood hangers a lot here but I don't know who's responsible for the original design. In Germany you can buy "Schichtholzkleiderbügel" from various suppliers (google helps):

Haha, there goes. IKEA was actually the first place I checked, but they did not have it. So it is out of production, after all. I was hoping to replace my 50 odd hangers. I really had my mind set on these and have spent hours looking for them online and in various stores. I would probably have spent many more had I not gotten any response here. Thank you!

claus, thanks. I will most likely have to source them from ebay, so it is very useful to know what they are called in German. I also have a bunch of old ones, some with the names of old shops printed on them. It would be interesting to know their origin. Does anyone know of other bent wood hangers?
