I need some help. I've searched the web and the forum for information about the above pattern to no avail. I purchased, from an estate sale, the most beautiful stash of the above named dishes. More than half are marked "designed by Raymond Loewy/William Snaith, Inc." with the bee logo, and the balance are simply marked with the Suisse Langenthal logo. They are identical in pattern and quality, but I don't wan't to assume that the Loewy design was first and the rights then eventually transferred to Langenthal. I'm trying to date them, for eventual sale, as well as determine market value. There are some pieces listed on replacements.com, however there is no mention of Loewy & Snaith. Is one logo more valuable than the other? The Suisse Langenthals are numbered either 78 or 79, depending. Seven of the Loewy dinner plates are indent stamped with the number 27, the other four are not. I don't know if this is significant. I can find the Loewy name attached to everything, including Rosenthal, but Langenthal. I would very much appreciate any information that those of you with more experience in this regard could offer. Thanks, in advance, for your time. I've attached some photos, as these dishes are absolutely stunning in their simplicity and almost opalescent sheen.
