Hi,
i just stumbled across one of the classic grete jalk easy chairs for france & son (i think it's the 118) that's made out of ash wood.
It really looks nice, but actually i want two similar chairs. So my question would be: How rare are the ash ones / how many of them were made? will it be hard to find a second one? and does anybody know in which period they were built that way?
any help would be appreciated!
You're right!
Oak it is - just talked to the dealer. And it has been discussed before, but without much of a discussion.
So if anybody knows, when grete-jalk-chairs were made out of oak and maybe how often they were sold - i would really love to know more about that. teak is all around, but oak?

Its a very nice France & Son produced chair but the Jalk chair which it is based on is much slimmer in proportion, has a slimmer slatted backrests and slimmer arms.
I actually prefer your chair to the Jalk design.
Please see this previous thread which dealt with a similar question.
