Greek non-objective art  

This is a bit of a shot in the dark...I picked this piece up from the local thrift last week (90 cents!). I'm really digging it, and the quality of the production and framing suggests to me that it may have been done by somebody of at least some artistic import. From the chop marks, I'm deducing that the signature is written in greek - I think it's ΜΗΛΙΞΝΗΣ (?). Unfortunately, this person doesn't exist, according to google. It's going on my wall regardless, but I'd love to know more about this artist and piece, if at all possible! So I'm just throwing it out there...is this an artist that anyone here's familiar with?
Dangit...I've been on this site for 7 or 8 years, and I've posted plenty of pics...for some reason these just aren't working (I'm seeing broken links on my side, at least).
