I was doing the rounds of my local charity shops and found an interesting office chair. It was dirty, dusty, and it looked like someone had splashed a coffee on it an not wiped it off. I thought it might be leather, but the dust made it hard to tell.

Nevertheless, I liked the lines of it. I asked for a cloth to wipe it down so I could sit in it.

It passed the sit test, so I decided to buy it and give my blue desk chair to charity. I asked the fella how much, and he said because it has arms, it is £18. That seemed fair, so I took it.

A young fella from the shop put it in the car for me, and since it was raining so hard when I got home, I left it there until the next day.

When I brought it in, I got a damp cloth to clean it up, and under the seat, I found a plastic sleeve containing a wee product info brochure from the manufacturer.

I have myself a Vitra Meda conference chair, in black leather with leather armrests. I googled and found that these are quite dear, so I am especially pleased with my charity shop find.

thank you
Thanks for your kind words, I am really chuffed. It is a very comfortable chair, and I will really enjoy it.
I got it at the same shop where last summer I found a Uniflex kneehole dressing table, complete with its three-panel illuminated mirror mounted to a curved piece of plywood. It's a lovely piece, and I hope it fits as I am about to move house and am not quite sure where everything will go!
Here's a pic of the dressing table.

Uniflex
Nice find on the uniflex dressing table.
I picked one up last week at my local charity shop (£35 including a matching stool, still feeling quite smug), but the electronics for the mirror are shot. Are yours working?
Trying to decide whether to replace them myself, or just remove the whole mirror and use as a desk.
They actually had a matching wardrobe too, but didn't think it would squeeze into my flat.

Wardrobe too?!
You must tell me where! I am in the market for a wardrobe as I am moving house. It would be great to get the matching wardrobe for this dressing table.
Delighted you got one as well. I am not sure about the electrics in mine. The wall plug is missing at the mo and it is just a few lengths of red and black wires!
