Oh you are so right, SDR!
It's a Pontiac. And I have arrived in the gloomy Midwest..staying with my parents, who live in a poorly decorated, but lovely home. The bar is well stocked. There are birthday cards everywhere (my father's 80th). I'll try to take a picture later.
Best,
Mark.
ps I understand that the place is for sale...oh!
Hi Waffle.
Actually about an hour..plus out of the city. Perhaps when the old gal passes out...I'll repost them. She does like her privacy. She's strange, but quite fashionable. I don't know what to think.
Best,
Mark
ps possibly even a spappy of the old gal passed out..hahahahaha. Now we're off to the club for dinner.
Waffle,Did you hear the...
Waffle,
Did you hear the news about Goldberg's Prentice Women's Hospital, in Evanston? Northwestern desperately wants to tear it down, and there's been vehement opposition to this from basically anyone who matters in the arts and architecture community. It all came to a head today, when Prentice was granted landmark status by a vote of 9-0. Unfortunately, later in the same meeting, the Landmarks Commission also voted to overturn the landmark status (by a vote of 8-1) that they'd just created, so that Northwestern could tear it down. Brilliant, right?
Oy.
The meeting was "live-facebooked" on The "Save Prentice" facebook page (link below). It's interesting (and depressing) to see how it all played out...
