Too high?
I think because ICF (like Hille) is less well known as a licensed Eames manufacturer there are unfortunately problems when it comes to selling them for market price and they are usually cheaper because of that. This seems to be the same price as a Vitra or HM chair. If you intend to keep it indefinitely no problem but bear in mind resale may be harder
Desperate
pubpat - so first you say ICF is an knockoff and then to save face when its pointed out its legit you claim ICF similar quality to a knockoff. Sad and desperate.
Why do you now pretend to have knowledge when in fact if you knew anything at all about these chairs you wouldn't have made your first statement that they are knockoff?
In fact they last very well indeed but then again I have experience of them which you clearly do not.
Maybe less time in the pub is what you need
thomatome, just be careful.
We had two ICF EA 219 in the late nineties, in our studio they have been punished 10-12 hours a day, after several months both had the damages as described.
Then we bought two Vitra ones and they are fine till today.
That's the difference between ICF and Vitra.

IMO and having had 100s of these chairs, the leather on ICF chairs is thick and of good quality. I believe they would probably wear better than a Vitra chair, but I use an F&K chair daily I haven't tried both long term. I believe the frames to be of better quality on Vitra chairs, so both are better at some things than the other. Maybe you were unlucky, who knows but I'd be very surprised if an ICF chair doesn't give many years of good/hard use..
