I have a glass top coffee table which is covered in very fine scratches from fifty odd years of use.
I am looking at some of the glass scratch repair kits which contain some sort of light abrasive compound which is then buffed with a mop attachment to a drill.
Does anyone have any experience with these type of kits? Do they work?

Glass scratch repair kits
I have, and have found them to be sadly lacking. If the scratches are very fine, you may have some success. My coffee table, however included some deeper scratches. It was then recommended to me to go find a good automotive glass repair company or a standard glass company to repair the glass. After receiving a few quotes for the work, it ended up being less expensive or the same to simply replace the glass. However, if you go this route, make sure that you pick a good glass company that can do quality glass work. It may also be a good idea to bring in your original glass so that they can match the glass-including the style of edging.

For light scratches. . .
Sometimes toothpaste or baking soda on a piece of cotton wool can work.
