Don't these look like Rohde tables? Was this a common style in the 50s? This is the only photo of these I have, and I'm planning to buy them tomorrow - they're inexpensive enough, but am I mistaken to be thinking they might be Rohde?

Really appreciate any help anyone can offer

I don't know who designed these
tables, but Mr. Rohde died in 1944 and all of his stuff had a more streamline look.

I have them now, and am more convinced than before
I will post photos later, but I've looked at every Rohde table with this sort of design that I can find, and I believe these are both his. The owner said they dated to the 40s because she grew up with them in the house. Beyond that she didn't know anything about them.
The wood one is very interesting - it only has 3 leg caps on the table top, and the corner where that cap is absent, the corner is rounded unlike the other 3 corners which are sharp. That alone takes it into the designer realm, I think (no?)
Also, both tables have a deep circular notch on all the legs, about an inch from the bottom - just like the one at this link.

Leg Notch
2c: I have a Heywood Wakefield desk from the 40's with the same notches. The GR tables from Herman Miller '39 catalog (with similar metal leg cap) all have 3/4 inch glass tops.

I'll have to check out the HW stuff
Here are some more similar tables attributed to GR. The glass one I have is 3/8" thick.

Here's a close up of the legs
While the legs are the same length, the notch is at a slightly different place on each set/table. fwiw.
