He lived a really good, long life. The ION chair is the only piece of modern furniture of note to come out of Seattle, as far as I know.

I was thumbing through the Seattle Magazine World's Fair 50th anniversary issue at the dentist's office recently. Many interesting tidbits about the Fair but not a single mention of the Ion chair or Gideon Kramer.
