Hey everyone,

Several years ago I saw a really cool tripod floor lamp that I have since identified as a Gerald Thurston floor lamp with the three swivle heads. The shades were conical in shape. This was before I got into mid-century modern design. I don't recall where I saw the lamp. I was in high school at the time. I have seen this lamp for sale several time; however, I have never seen it with the particular shades this lamp had. I've only ever found this lamp with shades of one single color. This lamp the shades were multi-hued. Each shade had orange, cream, and brown together. I think those were the colors...definitely the orange, maybe black instead of brown, pretty sure about the cream too. I have never seen these shades available anywhere with this lamp. Has anyone ever seen this lamp with shades of mixed colors like this, or maybe these weren't the original shades and someone had replaced them? I like the design of the lamp but I LOVED those shades way better than the single color shades I see on all the examples I have found. Just curious if I should give up on this hunt. If it's not something that was original to the lamp, then I am wasting my time trying to find that lamp with these shades. Thanks so much!

I know that this is an old thread, but I am still searching for this particular lamp. I have searched for this lamp off and on over the years. I do believe that was the lamp pictured above. Has anyone ever seen this lamp available with multi-colored shades? I have seen Gerald Thurston lamps with one shade orange, one shade cream, and one shade brown/black, but I have never again seen this lamp where the shades themselves were multi-colored. Each shade was a mixture of orange, cream, and brown/black. I want to think that the shades were original as they seemed to be the exact same colors of his other shades (only mixed together on one shade instead of solid colored shades). Any help would be appreciated!

this lamp likely
came with shades in various colors, all either the same color or each of a different color
