I was saddend to read about the awful attack on designer Gerald Abramovitz recently in New York. The link below gives further information, and my personal lamp by him is featured in the slideshow. A relatively unheard of designer who deserves more recognition for his work. Thoughts and prayers are with him.

Horrible news
Really hope he makes it. I have one of his lamps in front of me now, a cherished possession. I supplied Moma with their example some years ago but have never known much about his other work.

Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
Inexcusable what happened at the hospital. They're not as safe as we're led to believe. Hopefully this loss will drawn attention to the underlining problems of modern medicine and care.
